The Office

I almost, almost cried during the office tonight! "9,986,000 minutes. That's like watching Die Hard, 80,000 times." The preview for next week looks like a tear jerker!

Capture the Everyday: One Way I'm Kind to Mother Earth

Capture the Everyday from Adventuroo

Capture the Everyday is something I'm starting today that I found on another blog I follow, The B Keeps Us Honest and found that it is hosted by Melissa at Adventuroo. Cute blogs! Every Thursday a new challenge is featured for you to find and photograph something that is part of your day-to-day life. Since Earth Day is tomorrow, it's spotlight time to see what we all do to care for our beautiful Earth.

One thing I do on a daily basis is drink water from my trusty Tervis cups. My work is also very eco friendly and gave everyone their own TeleVox insulated, sweat-proof glasses for getting filtered water from the water cooler. This is great and keeps everyone from purchasing bottles of water. More than 60 million water bottles in the U.S. end up in landfills every day! I myself rarely buy bottled water, but instead I fill up my Nalgene bottle with cold, filtered water from the fridge.

Cheers!

Confused flowers?

I think so!

My fall mums have started to come back! They are either confused as to which season it is, or jealous of all the spring flowers blooming. Either way, welcome back my pretty yellow mums - glad to see you! Makes me feel like I should be fall-izing the house instead of working on a new spring/summer wreath.

Taking out the trash

Exciting since April 14, 2011. My friend Suzanne told me about these trash bags and so far they are great! We're both smell freaks and Febreeze fanatics, so I was excited about this new purchase - trash bags of all things!

The fruits of our labor

Our little garden is moving right along. It is quite the test of effort keeping it all watered, but watching everthing grow by the day is pretty cool if you ask me! The jalapenos, red bell peppers, blueberries, tomatoes and strawberries are doing very well. I think we are going to have a lot of good stuff this year!

Husky cherry tomatoes
Roma tomatoes
Chives and thyme
Red bell peppers
We have had a lot of tasty strawberries from our patch already, these guys are looking pretty plump.

Something new!

I am talking about my new Yankee Candle plug-in air freshener. I got it yesterday and it is wonderful! My whole house is filled with the sweet smell of sage and citrus - Michael even complimented the nice aroma! Goodbye Bath and Body Works and Febreeze air fresheners, there's a new plug-in in the house.

Navigator of the Seas Cruise

Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas was a-mazing! I went with my best friend Stephanie, her mom Darlene, her aunt Janet and her mom and aunt's friend, Cyndie. We cruised out of Fort Lauderdale for a five-night cruise. We ate, soaked up some sun, ate, laughed A LOT, ate some more, roamed the ship, ate, I sang karaoke with Janet (totally out of my norm), ate and enjoyed Georgetown, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

The car is packed and we are ready to go! Cyndie, Stephanie, Mrs. Darlene and me. Janet was taking the photo.

The beautiful view of Fort Lauderdale from the ship

This is the Oasis of the Seas, my first cruise and the ship we went on August 2010 - incredible!

Janet, Mrs. Darlene, Cyndie, me and Stephanie. We have a fabulous girls' cruise!

Mrs. Darlene at "Sail Away." Bon Voyage.

"Ice Dancin'" was great! This guy's tricks were super scary. I was so scared for him.

On the edge of my seat at this point!

Towel animals make people happy

"Happy, happy morning! Good morning!" What a way to welcome hungry people to the Windjammer! The Windjammer = the happiest place on the ship, it's where you eat the breakfast and lunch buffet.

Dinner

Dinner each night is great! It's fun catching up over a delicious meal. "Yes, I'll have these three appetizers, both of these main dishes and these four desserts!"

Y to the um!
Georgetown, Grand Cayman was beautiful!

Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman

The water was clear and warm

The sign speaks for itself

Stephanie and her mom heading back to the ship after a long day in Georgetown

 Next stop - Cozumel!

The Navigator of the Seas parked right next to her sister ship, the Voyager of the Seas

Cozumel

If you visit Cozumel, take a short taxi ride here. This place has an amazing atmosphere and delicious Mexican food!

Janet at Poncho's Backyard in Cozumel

The food looked crazy!

My chicken, bean and chihuahua cheese nachos. I hope that no dogs were injured in makin that cheese.

Working the xylophone with my Mexican rendition of "Mary Had a Little Lamb." All those years of playing clarinet payed off.

Stephanie and her jester hat at the napkin folding class we did on the ship

If you cruise Royal Caribbean, every day at lunch you can get these little white cakes in the Windjammer. They. are. amazing! They are so light and fluffy, and sweet but not overly sweet. I like to get some fruit juice from the fruit bar and let them soak up the juice, then top with fresh fruit.

Our waiter, Reynaldo, and his toothpick trick. He weaved one toothpick into two forks then balanced it on a toothpick stuck in the top of a wine cork.

Stephanie and me on formal night

Formal night - Nutcracker Dining Room

Formal night fun

The shower button of death! So, the first night of the cruise I took a lukewarm shower because I didn't know the red button triggered the hot water. Needless to say, the button was turned down more when I first showered. When Stephanie got in the shower I heard her laughing when she realized why I took a lukewarm shower. Haha!

Random port hole on the ship

Adult game show - The Quest! This is one of my favorite parts about RCCL cruises. Janet and I were two of the team captains.

  Six-person human pyramid time!

Stephanie says Desire sees more cruises in her future...

Casino Royale fun

Lifejacket fun on the last night!

Sad sight - all of the luggage out the last night of the cruise

I'll be back!
